Leaders in Ogun East Senatorial District have commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for keeping to his electioneering promises and his sincerity of purpose in infrastructural development has enhanced the livelihood of the people of the State.
The leaders who spoke at the commissioning of the Igan-Ishamurin-Odo Shikiti road, Ago Iwoye, Ijebu North Local Government Area of the State, said Governor Abiodun had displayed good governance.
Speaking, the Secretary to State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi said the Governor had conscientiously ameliorated the pains of the people by constructing roads that cut across the length and breadth of the council area.
Talabi added that Prince Abiodun was providing dividends of democracy, saying “today, the Governor has demonstrated good governance to the people, as well as improved their means of livelihood. This road is very strategic in providing succour and enhancing the economic activities of the area.
On his part, a former Deputy Governor in the State, Senator Adegbenga Kaka, said the people were elated with the attention they received from the government, including the ongoing construction of Ilishan-Ago Iwoye, Oru- Ilaporu road and the just commissioned one.
Kaka, who was also an erstwhile Senator in Ogun East Senatorial District, added that infrastructural development being provided by the present administration to the nooks and crannies of the State was a demonstration of Governor Abiodun’s commitment to the welfare of the people.
On his part, the Chairman, Ijebu North Local Government, Mr. Bolaji Adesanya while appreciating the governor for giving people in his council area a sense of belonging, noted that infrastructural and human development would enhance good governance at the grassroots level.
