COMMISSIONER CONDOLES WITH FAMILY OF LATE PS

Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, TPL. Olatunji Odunlami has described the demise of the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Adetunji Kanimodo as sudden and a great loss to Ogun State Public Service.

Odunlami stated this when he led the management of the Ministry and its affiliate agencies on a condolence visit to the deceased’s family house at Kemta Housing Estate, Abeokuta.

According to him, “the late Permanent Secretary was posted to our Ministry on April 6, 2022, exactly four months to the day of his demise. In that very short period that we worked together, he proved himself to be an astute public administrator and made a very strong impact in running the affairs of the Ministry”.

He said Late Kanimodo was a level-headed person, responsive, responsible, and goal-getter, noting that “he was the ultimate in humility and respect for authority with a demonstrated passion for his job. He consulted with me on virtually every action that he wanted to take’’.

Responding on behalf of the family, the younger brother of the deceased, Ahmed Kanimodo thanked the delegation, saying his death was a rude shock to the family and had left a huge vacuum in the lives of those who knew him closely.

The late Adetunji Kanimodo, who died last  Friday, held numerous top-level administrative positions, including Secretary to the Management of Ogun State Television, Secretary, Ogun State Printing Corporation, Board Secretary, Ogun State Bulk Purchasing Corporation, Registrar, Tai Solarin College of Education, Director of Administration and Supplies at various Ministries, Departments and Agencies, and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development.
