Ogun First Lady Celebrates Christmas with Children

Children have been advised to always  radiate hope and demonstrate love in their dealings, not only during the Christmas seasons, but in their daily living as this would by extension impact the society.
First Lady and Wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun gave this advice at the Children's Christmas Party organized by her Office to celebrate the Season of the birth of Jesus Christ, held at the Valley View Auditorium, Government House, Oke Igbein, Abeokuta.

The First Lady said "the gift of Jesus brings us hope. Therefore, you should always ensure that no matter what is happening around you, you remain hopeful that it will always get better. Love is also another important aspect of this Gift. Let the love of Jesus remain in your hearts and let it show in your behavior to your friends, your brothers and sisters, and your parents."

Mrs. Abiodun said  "Merry Christmas to all my wonderful children, be obedient to your parents, teachers, and elders, say no to violence and bullying and continue to be excellent in everything you do.

"I say a very big thank you to all the parents and guardians who have brought the children here to have a wonderful time and a very special thank you to our partners and sponsors for today. You have made these children experience the joy of the season, and we are sincerely grateful", she further stated.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Funmi Efuwape in her goodwill message, charged the children to take their studies seriously and make their parents and the state proud in their academics.

Speaking on behalf of the other children at the event, Masters David and Daniel Agboyin appreciated the First Lady for her love for them, describing the event as memorable.

The celebration featured games and other side attractions with distribution of gifts to the children by Father Christmas at the grotto.
