CREATE A GOOD NAME FOR YOUR ASSOCIATION, WOMEN ACCOUTANTS URGED

Society for Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN), Abeokuta District has been advised to comeup with more impactful programmes that would be of immense benefit to the society, particularly, women.

The Lead Pastor, Victory Life Bible Church International, Apostle Lawrence Achudume gave the advice when the newly elected Chairperson of the Society, Dr. (Mrs.) Taiwo Aroyeun led other executives on a courtesy visit to his office at the church Headquarters in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

Achudume urged the women Acountants to carve a niche for themselves and promote team spirit, saying, " every member has different ideas, so there is need to work together as a team to be able to lift each other up, as well as accomplish set objectives of the Society".

While appreciating their visit, he pledged his continued support for the association, especially towards  the upcoming investiture, praying God to "give them a name bigger than them" and that the tenure of the new Chairperson, who is a member of his church will witness greater achievements. 

Earlier in her address, Dr. Aroyeun noted that "SWAN is charged with the responsibility of bringing together women in the accounting profession", hinting that the forthcoming Investiture will witness amongst others, award of scholarship to indegent students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

Also speaking, the Secretary General of the Society, Mrs. Damilola Dosunmu lauded Apostle Achudume for his unflinching support, as well as his contributions to societal development, seizing the visit to reveal that he has been chosen as the Father of the Day at the investiture which will hold on Friday, April 24, 2021 in Abeokuta.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of cash donation to the society by the Wife of the Lead Pastor, Rev. Fola Achudume.
