The Chairman, Ogun State Civil Service Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi has sought the support of engineers within and outside the Civil Service, to collaborate with the Dapo Abiodun-led administration based on their professional experience in the execution of standard infrastructural projects.
Odebunmi gave the charge while playing host to the Nigeria Society of Engineers, Abeokuta branch, on a courtesy visit to his office in Abeokuta.
Odebunmi urged them to organise a scheduled visit to ongoing and completed projects of government across the State, identify the challenges, and proffer solutions, citing Mokola, Ajitadun, Ita-Aka gully areas as a case study.
Engr. Odebunmi appreciated the NSE for their support since his appointment as the chairman of the Commission, promising to discharge his duties accordingly.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman Nigeria Society of Engineers, Abeokuta branch, Engr. Dr. Kola Olonade, lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for the recognition given to the engineering sector and appointing one of its members into his cabinet.
Olonade also commended the effort of the Chairman for his assistance, particularly the sponsorship of quiz competition organised for schools, saying the Society is looking forward to introducing an engineering exhibition for secondary schools, which entrepreneurs could also adopt, and called for the recharting of the entry-level of certified engineers into the civil service.
