Ogun State Government has declared its passion for sports, saying its determined to provide a system for the development of athletes, who would compete for laurels for the State and Nigeria.
The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun made this declaration at the presentation of the Torch of Unity of the 20th National Sport Festival, tagged Edo 2020, at the Forecourt, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Governor Abiodun said the Sport Festival was an opportunity to bring the youth together, discover new talents and develop them, pledging his support to the State contingent to the festival.
He admonished the contingents to be of good conduct, by following instructions on health and security, in order to achieve a hitch-free outing.
