OGSG COMMISERATES WITH SHEIK ISKEEL LAWAL SUGAR ON WIFE's DEMISE

The Ogun State Government has commiserated with the  family of the Wakeel of Egba, Yorubaland,  Edo and Delta States,  Sheik Iskeel Lawal ( AKA) Sugar on the demise of his wife, Alhaja Hafsat Lawal who died yesterday in a ghastly motor accident on Oyo/ Ogbomoso road .

Leading the State Government delegation  to a special prayer held in honour  of  the deceased at the Lawal's residents in Bode Olude,  Abeokuta, the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako- Oyedele said death was not strange to the muslim folk,  noting that when it eventually comes, it must  meet  one doing good deeds.

" It is  with heavy heart that I bring this condolence   from the good people of the State and  our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who is far away in Abuja on official duties,  it is sad that an occurence like this had happened, but who are we to blame Allah for taking away the soul of our beloved" she said .

She however prayed to Allah to rest the soul of the deceased while praying for the husband and the children for protection and guidance at all times.

Earlier, in his sermon, Mofasiru of Egbaland, Alhaji Taofeek Amolegbe said death is inevitable and no one could determine who dies first, whether husband or wife,  he added that age was no  criteria for death, calling on the husband of the deceased to put all his hopes in Allah and take solace in him only.

Amolegbe said that death would come at any time adding that the large turnout of sympathizers was an indication that deceased was religious and God- fearing.

Late Alhaja Hafsat Lawal was aged 47.
